We apologize that it has been a while since you’ve heard from us. We’ve continued to work on custody issues for Marius but most of what we are doing now, moves along slowly and without a lot of fanfare. TeamMarius 5/30/08 UpdateWe hope this update finds you all well and happy. Marius is doing so well!! His personality and sense of humor are just off the charts. He is learning english phrases for his trip to America and he has sat up on his own a few times in preparation for the long plane flight. He is even trying to put some weight on his feet. We hope that in a months time we will have all that we need in order to fly him over here! teamMarius 4/1/08 UpdateThis has been another miraculous week. So much good has happened. Through Ashley's family, there is a story being done for Utah Public Radio where they hope to interview the girls and some other key players. We are so excited that Marius' story will be told to a broader audience. We can only hope it gets broader and broader so that everyone knows about this brave, courageous and kind-hearted boy. One of the real miracles for this week came from a Romanian Charity Organization called Cry In the Dark. Steve Cooper who heads up the organization contacted us to see if there was anything they could do to help. He mentioned something about having contacts with an airline and though he couldn't promise anything, he would try to get tickets for Marius and his brother to come to America. We responded with understanding and a hope that something might work out. Within ONE hour he had written back having touched base with his connections and he had the assurance of not only being able to fly Marius and his brother but to have a hospice nurse fly with them! We couldn't have asked for anything better. It will be a long flight and they will definitely need her assistance to keep Marius comfortable. What a great blessing for Marius and a big thank you to all those who had any part in these great miracles. A special thanks to Jessica and Ashley for all they have done and continue to do there in Iasi for this dear little boy. We are receiving so many wonderful message from people who have been inspired by Marius story and we want to thank all of you for being so kind and helpful. We will work hard to get these all to him so he can smile from ear to ear! They are each so tender and supportive. Thank you from all of us at Team Marius! Kristin Free

The Lastest From Romania6/11/08Marius has made a lot of progression in his exercises and movement. He can sit up for short amounts of time with no problems and can get into and out of a wheelchair with only a little bit of help. He loves to be pushed up and down the hallway outside his room. We have a new game we play where we pretend a balloon is a bomb and we throw it at each other. I know it sounds silly, but he loves it. His burns are looking better every day. His beautiful blue eyes and big smile always brighten up my day! 5/28/08Sorry I haven't sent you an email sooner. We were out of the hospital for a few days and we've finally gotten back into the swing of things. Navigation |
