We apologize that it has been a while since you’ve heard from us. We’ve continued to work on custody issues for Marius but most of what we are doing now, moves along slowly and without a lot of fanfare. TeamMarius 5/30/08 UpdateWe hope this update finds you all well and happy. Marius is doing so well!! His personality and sense of humor are just off the charts. He is learning english phrases for his trip to America and he has sat up on his own a few times in preparation for the long plane flight. He is even trying to put some weight on his feet. We hope that in a months time we will have all that we need in order to fly him over here! The Story of Marius
We learned about Marius from Ashley Ludlow and Jessica Free, Brigham Young University students who are volunteering at the Romanian hospital where he is being treated.
Our team has set up the Marius Burn Fund at Wells Fargo to accommodate donations. If you are interested in donating to this cause, you can either go to any Wells Fargo and make a deposit directly to the fund or send a check made out to the Marius Burn Fund to 3091 Davencourt Loop, Lehi, UT 84043. All donations will go entirely toward this effort to help Marius. Jessica Free wrote, “I saw a picture of Marius before he was burned and you could see the light in his eyes. Seeing that picture made me want to do all I could to give him a normal life. There is only so much I can do here in Romania and I do it. I can give him my love and I can visit him everyday and hopefully start to heal his heart, but his physical scars need healing (too).”

The Lastest From Romania6/11/08Marius has made a lot of progression in his exercises and movement. He can sit up for short amounts of time with no problems and can get into and out of a wheelchair with only a little bit of help. He loves to be pushed up and down the hallway outside his room. We have a new game we play where we pretend a balloon is a bomb and we throw it at each other. I know it sounds silly, but he loves it. His burns are looking better every day. His beautiful blue eyes and big smile always brighten up my day! 5/28/08Sorry I haven't sent you an email sooner. We were out of the hospital for a few days and we've finally gotten back into the swing of things. Navigation |
